About Worcestershire TeleCare

Worcestershire Telecare was established in 1987 and is now one of the largest providers of telecare services In the UK .

Based in modern headquarters in Malvern, Worcestershire, our dedicated team of professionally trained operators provide support to almost 19,000 service users and around 60 corporate customer organisations across England and Wales - 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

We are a premium member of the TeleCare Services Association. This is the nationally recognised standards body for telecare in the UK and we are accredited in all telecare services provided following independent inspection against the National Code of Practice.

In 2008, four of the County’s leading providers of care and housing support joined together in a strategic partnership to help us enhance and develop our service.

We became a member of Kidderminster based, The Community Housing Group who lead the partnership and take responsibility for the day to day management of the service.

Other partners - Festival Housing Group, Rooftop Housing Group and Worcester Community Housing - play an important role in determining how the service is expanded and shaped for the future.

Unlike other call centres, we are able to "signpost" additional services to service users through our partners and help to further support their choice to live independently in their own home. These include domiciliary care, property maintenance and adaptations, garden services or extra care.

We have invested in the latest call handling technology to enable a rapid response to service users and have robust emergency procedures in place to allow us to deal with issues such as power failures or natural disasters brought about by extreme weather conditions.
